THE LADY AND HER HUSBAND

There is a Lady named Augustina.  Her husband studied in Russia and England.  They are native Nigerians.  He is a pastor, but he also own his own computer business, and is a business consultant. Even before they ever met me, they donated a driver and car for three days.  They insisted on putting me up in a hotel room the last two nights.  The hotel cost for two bedrooms and a common sitting room, was about $400 per night, along with hotel food.  The day before we were to leave, they invited ten of us to dinner at a fancy Oriental restaurant.  The bill came to over $300!  At the close of the meal, she handed me an envelope containing 6 one hundred dollar bills, then gave me one more, then gave me two more.  At a time when I had no money, I was handed $900 by this Nigerian woman and her husband, who, prior to that meal, had been  total strangers to me.  Can you imagine the Lord’s eyes, twinkling with amusement at the idea of lavishly spreading a table in the Wilderness, and treating us this way, when my pockets were empty?

Some may object to this lavish treatment in a land where people are starving, but the money, the invitation, the food, the love came from God, and, on these last two days in this wilderness country, we allowed the Lord to hug and kiss and feed and carry and reassure us.  God revealed to us again, that He is truly able to prepare a table in the Wilderness.  Amen.

On the way home, the seat assigned to me was taken, so I was assigned another seat, that was also taken.  The steward asked me if I would mind sitting here, which I accepted.  Upon sitting, I discovered that the Lord had given me 4 entire seats, in which to sleep, all the way home from Europe!  On a previous trip, the steward took me from a crowded seat to first class, saying to me, “We do not know what you do, but it has come down to us from the highest authority, that we are to treat you like a king!”  And, so they did, all the way home from Africa!  God tenderly took constant care of us.  Isn’t that lovely?!!!  Ps.16; 23; 37; 91; 149 .
