The Check book: Has this ever happened to you?
It was before we departed on this same trip, that, we found ourselves without adequate finances. A business man friend of ours scheduled a lunch meeting with his attorney. After the lunch, the lawyer took out his checkbook, along with his pen, and signed the blank check. He then handed the checkbook and pen to me, and said, "Here, you fill in the amount!" I took the checkbook and pen, and held it before me, and waited before the Lord for direction as to what I should do. After a few moments, I handed the checkbook back across the table to him and said,
"Sir, I do not feel impressed to fill in the amount. But I will tell you what I will do. I will itemize for you our financial needs for this trip, and will encourage you to be led by the Holy Spirit as to what you are to do." I then totaled for him our financial needs for the trip, which came to, maybe 5 to 7 thousand dollars. He promptly wrote his check to us for that amount!!!
