'Don’t Polish My Shoes':  Christ would have done it this way.

My favorite thing is to teach minister's seminars, as one can reach spheres of influence.  I usually open the seminar, by removing my upper garments, down to my undershirt.  Then, I kneel down, and polish the most dusty shoes of the humblest of ministers.  If I washed their feet, it would be considered a religious exercise.  But, in that society, there is no mistaking who polishes shoes.  In a culture that bows to those deserving respect, my shoe polishing is shocking.  Then I teach them the Kingdom principle:  Mark 9:35 & 10:42  "But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, 'Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.  43  But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:  44  And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.  45  For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give His life a ransom for many."  In John 13, Jesus commands us thrice, to wash the feet of others.
