THE WIDOW’S MIGHTY MITE

In the Republique du Benin, just 2 days before Christmas, a tragedy occurred, when an evangelist tried adjust the antenna on the family television.  He was electrocuted, and died, leaving a young widow, and a beautiful little girl.  In West Africa, the yearly average income is little over $300, and many expenses are high.  When the pastor asked if there were any who would be willing to help pay for the cost of our hotel room, even for half a day, this widow lady came forward with her little girl, and donated the cost of one half day.  This woman gave sacrificially, out of her need.  There were many such, who gave, out of their need, so that our needs could be provided for.  In one of the villages where no white person had ministered, they brought, as part of the offering, bananas, coconuts, avocados, pineapple, drinking water, fish, other food and drink, etc.
