They Ran Away: Where no white person ever ministered before.
While I am ministering in Nigeria, and it neighboring countries, when I have gone for weeks at a time, without ever seeing another white person. A number of times, I have ministered where no white person has ever ministered before. Once, in the country of Benin Republic, I ministered in a village where the half naked people fled from me in terror, until they saw that I was wearing the clothing of the West Africa, and they saw me embracing the people and dancing and bowing, and smiling and preaching, gradually, they warmed up to me. Some times the older ones tell the children, "If you do not behave yourselves, the white man will get you!" In some of the villages, the last white people to visit, did steal them and their children and sold them into slavery. In such an environment, the memory of such things, dies slowly, and the stories are told and retold, so that the past crowds close.
