Although termites, cats and dogs are eaten in the country, we have never been offered these things, nor do the people among whom we minister, generally eat them, although Joey and Zoe were served dog meat, just a few years ago, when they ministered in China. As was stated briefly earlier, fruits and vegetables are mostly consumed, rice and yams are their main staple. Eggs, poultry, pork, fish, escargot, cattle, sheep and goat meat provide their main sources of meat and protein.
