"Dear Darling Daddy Yahweh!!! I love You! Your Word says that You loved Jacob, and that, You hated Esau, that You hardened Pharoah‟s heart, that Judas was chosen for betrayal, that You have already decided, or at least, You already know whether I am chosen to be a vessel of dishonour. Some people, the Calvinists, say that You have planned that people go to Hell, that You have planned people‟s sin, defeat, crime, ruin, rebellion. The Arminianists say that You knew about all of the sadness, madness, gladness of everyone, everywhere, all the time, ahead of time, outside of time, early or late. Most Christian and Moslem teachers say that You know everything ahead of time. If that is true, there is no choice. I have no choice. I must do, like a computer, like a robot, exactly what You have programmed me to do.

Daddy Papa Yahweh God: I want You to know that I love You. I trust You. I want what You want for me. I want to do Your will. I want to follow completely, Your perfect will for me, Your blueprint, Your will. Your design, for me, Your pleasure. I want to please You, Papa. I want to glorify You to the Supernatural Maximum. I love You, Papa.

But, if You know ahead of time, that I will fail, betray, abuse, excuse, sin and hurt, and be a horrible person, I want to praise You ahead of time, and, tell You that I really love You, before this happiest of dreams, turns into the most horrible of nightmares. I really would like to believe that You love me, and that You do not hate me. I really want to believe that You have not chosen to harden my heart, and that I am not chosen for betrayal. I don‟t know if You can change the future for me or not, since it is locked in concrete, according to the Moslems, the Arminianists, the Calvinists, and Plato; but, if You CAN change the future for me, please change it to be that I please and love and serve and glorify You, to the Supernatural Maximum.! However, if You have decided, or have prior knowledge that . . .

I do not know if You planned, from Eternity past, that I fail You today, or if You have prior knowledge that I will hurt someone really badly today, but, please know, ahead of time, that there WAS a time at 9:37 A.M. on August 10, 2004, that I really, really loved You, earnestly reaching out to You, really longing for You, really appreciated You, really, deeply loved You.

But, if You do not hate me… If You have NOT destined me for negativity . . . If You have NO prior certainty that I will backslide, betray and brutalize, , , then, by Your grace, by Your Life, by Your power, Your love, Your Word, Your embrace, , , then, I want to love You, praise You, serve You, trust You, be Your friend, glorify You, please You, make You happy: TO THE SUPERNATURAL MAXIMUM!!!!!!!! Amen."

Testimony

Anyone who says that I do not believe in the Sovereignty and in the Omniscience of God is a liar. God is Almighty. God is All Powerful. God is Most Wonderful. And Papa Yahweh Daddy God, is my Friend! He lives inside of me! Yahweh God is Love!

PURPOSE

Would you like to have greater zeal, in your service to God? Would your like to have more fervent love for Christ?

Would you like to have a greater burden for lost souls?

Would you like to have increased motivation, enthusiasm, desire for God and for the things of God?? This is the reason for this article, to increase these things within you! Amen.

Disclaimer

It seems that the Lord recently showed me, that, I know precisely less than 1 billionth of all there is to know about God. \J/ Well, at the outset of this, I must confess that I do not know all there is to know about predestination, foreknowledge and fatalism, yet. Oh, I have a license to practice theology, and have both an honorary doctorate of divinity and an earned doctorate of divinity, and I have read the Bible through, many times, and have walked with God for over 60 years, but, compared to all that there is to know, I do not know much. Do you? By the way, let it hereby be known that I believe in God's Sovereignty. I believe in His fore- knowledge, His Omniscience, His All-power, Omnipotence. If anyone says I believe otherwise, they lie. But, I must confess that my God is greater than a Computer/Robot Programmer. Here's why, and here's how:

Background

Once upon a time, a Greek philosopher named Plato sat down, (at least I think he sat) and decided to figure God out. He thought and he thought, until he thought that he had God figured out. He reasoned that if there was a God, and if this God were really a great God, that this God would be great enough to know the future, that his god would be great enough to know, a zillion years ahead of time, when you are going to blink your eyes, clear your throat, or go potty.

Once upon a time, a guy named Mohammed tried to figure out God, and he figured and he figured, until he figured that his god, Allah, knows the future. According to the Muslims, Allah knows when you are going to die, and how. With Allah, there is no need to drive safely, wear a seat belt, or keep your car in good repair, because, if Allah wants you dead, there ain‟t nothing you can do to prevent it, and if he wants you alive, nothing careless or unwise you do can kill you.

Once upon a time, a man named Calvin tried to figure God out. And, once upon a time, a man named Arminian tried to figure God out.

And, then, there is the God of the Bible, Papa Yahweh!!! Let's give Daddy Yahweh a biiiiiiig round of applause!! Yayyyyy!

Most people who call themselves Christians, whether they are born-again (the only kind there is! \J/) or not, are divided up into those people called Arminianists, and there are people called Calvinists. Which one of these are you? Perhaps you don't know. In case you do not know, let me encourage you. Neither name is found in the Bible, so you do not need to be too worried. But if you do not know, some pastors may be worried about you.

CALVIN/CALVINISM/CALVINIST

A man named Calvin taught and Calvinism teaches that God knows everything ahead of time, including when you are going to sneeze, scratch, wrinkle your nose, cough, spit or sin. It teaches that God knows the name of every person who is going to hell, who is going to molest, rape, steal, cheat or kill, (or be cheated) thousands of years ahead of time. Calvinism says that THE REASON his god knows all of this ahead of time is: HE PLANNED IT ALL, AHEAD OF TIME! Mr. Calvin invented a god that planned who and when a person would be raped, molested, maimed, or murdered.

ARMINIAN/ARMINIANISM/ARMINIANIST

Then, a man named Arminius taught and Arminianism teaches that God knows everything way ahead of time! His god supposedly knows, thousands of years ahead of time, when you are going to get a wrong attitude, when you are going to misspell a word, when a person is going to brutalize or be brutalized, sin or be sinned against. The reason Arminian said that God knows everything ahead of time, when and what you are going to scratch, is because HE HAS SEEN THE MOVIE ALREADY AND KNOWS HOW THE SCRIPT GOES! That is to say, they believe that God is "outside of time", in eternity, and can, "from eternity, look at any point in time" and know what is happening. Sounds good, doesn't it? It makes a god look really great, doesn't it. But, here's a problem: The word "Arminianism" is not found in the Bible! The word "Calvinism" is not found in the Bible!

Here's a point to remember: If a word or a concept is not found in the Bible, you do not need to be very concerned. Let me explain: Whereas beer or certain drugs are not mentioned in the Bible, yet allowing oneself to become under the influence of drugs or alcohol IS spoken against.

A BIG FAT LIE!

Here are two pictures of God: The first pictures God as being the maker of human robots, as “The Great Computer Programmer in the Sky”. The lie goes like this: "Thousands of years ago, this God sat down on a rock and decided your future. He planned all of the sins you would ever commit, all of the money you would ever give, all of the prayers you would ever pray, the insults you would ever give, the people you would ever hurt or be hurt by, you, the souls you would ever evangelize, the worship you would ever give. Or, from a rock or a throne out side of time, in eternity, god has seen the video of your life ahead of time, with all of these same sins, prayers, giving, effort, and hurts. Nothing can change any of this, because, in either case, "Arminius' god already knows every detail of your future, including every blink of your eye, and every naughty thing you will every think or do. The script of the play has been written. You are an actor on the stage of life, and you simply follow the lines, acting out a part that you must act out whether you like it or not.

The end of the play has been written, and you have no choice as to the ending of it. If the play is written with a bad ending for you, then you will absolutely NOT live happily ever after!", and there is absolutely nothing you can do about your ending.

THE GOD OF THE BIBLE

God Repented!

Here is an interesting Bible story: Ex 32:14 "And Yahweh repented of the evil which He thought to do unto His people." This is NOT the god of the Moslem! This is NOT the god of Arminian, of Calvin, or of Plato. Their god does NOT repent!!!

Here's the background. Throughout the story of Moses to this point, God has told the people and told the people and promised the people: "I am going to take you in to the Promised Land!" "I am going to lead you in." "You are going to go in." "I have prepared a land for you!" "Go in!" "Go in!" "Go on in!" Then, while God and Moses are up on the mountain together, having a happy time, the people sinned. Soooo, God became very angry. God became sooo angry that He decided to NOT take the people in, like He had been promising. No, instead, God decided that He would kill all His Chosen People, and make a mighty nation of Moses and take him in. But Moses argued with God! He told God a thing or two. 1) He told God that he, Moses was NOT going to get out of God's way, and 2) God was NOT going to take of Moses and make of him a nation, and, that, 3) "What would the neighbours think of God for playing a dirty trick on the Israelites by bringing them out into the desert just so He could kill them."

Yahweh responded like this, "And the LORD repented of the evil which He thought to do unto His people."!!!!!!!!!! You see, dear ones, we have a God Who can be reasoned with! He does not have your future locked in rock.

THE HEART OF GOD!

Let's take a look at the Heart of God. Yahweh Papa God goes to all the work of making a Universe, a Solar System, a World, a Garden, a Man and Woman. God puts them in the Garden and starts them out. God says, "This is GOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!" But, a few pages later, "The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become . . " and, in Gen 6:6 "The LORD (Yahweh) was (was sorry) (It repented God) grieved that He had made man on the earth, and His heart was filled with pain." NIV

Plato's, Islam's, Arminian's, Calvin's god does not get surprised, does not become angry or grieved, is not sorry, does not repent, and his heart does NOT get filled with pain! Why? Because He knew 9999 years ahead of time how the play would turn out, how the story would go! But the Sovereign God of the Bible can become sad or angry, because He has Sovereignly given to you and to me to MAKE God sad or glad.

HOW BIG IS GOD'S HEART?

The Andromeda Galaxy is 2 and a half million light years away. To find out how far that is, simply multiply the distance that light travels in a year, times 2 1/2 million. Since we know that light travels at a speed of 186 thousand miles per second, we simply multiply 186,000 times 60 seconds, times 60 minutes, times 24 hours, times 365 days, and find that light travels about 6 trillion miles in one year, times 2 1/2 million, and, presto! You have the distance to the Andromeda Galaxy!! You simply get 15 quintillion miles! That's 15,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles! That, simply put, is 15, followed by 18 zeros, or 6 sets of 3 zeros.

But the Andromeda Galaxy is really very close to earth, by space standards, because while the above distance to Andromeda is only 2 1/2 million light years away, the known extent of the Universe, is about 14 billion light years in each direction, which means more than 28 billion light years! To find out how far this is in miles, you simply multiply your 6 trillion times 28 billion to get 168 6 tillion (sextillion) miles, or 168, followed by 7 sets of zeros, or 21 zeros, or 168 billion trillion.

To get the idea of a billion, the average person is given, as a gift from God, a heart beat rate of 100,000 heart-beats a day, (or more), how long would you estimate that it takes for the heart to beat 1 billion times?? Each one of these heart-beats is a gift from God! Each pain-free moment, each coherent thought, each breath of air, the ability to feel, think, stand, walk, sit, eat, laugh or smile - all and each are a gift from God. Which heart-beat are you not thankful for? Have you guessed, yet?

Here's the answer: It takes about 30 years for your heart to beat one billion times. I am over 60, so it is 2 billion for me. The reason I am telling you all of this is the Bible says that the Heaven of heavens cannot contain God, that He measures the heavens with the span of His hand! So, let me ask you, if a Universe 168 sixtillion miles across, that's one hundred sixty eight billion trillion miles wide, cannot

contain God, then, how big is God?? How big is God's heart? If the entire Universe cannot contain God, how big do you think His Heart is? Yet, here, the Bible says, that because of people's sinning, His Heart is FILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLED with pain!!!!!! Has your heart ever been filled with pain?

The heart of the Moslem god, the Plato god, the Arminian god, the Calvin god cannot be filled with pain. That god has a heart that is locked in granite, in concrete, in stone. That god knew what was going to happen, 16 zillion years ago. What's to be surprised, or jealous, or angry or sad? That god had at least 15 zillion years to get over it already! But the God of the Bible, Papa Yahweh, He can be sad over our negative choices, and He can be happy over our positive choices!!!

Contrast that Gen.6:6 verse with the one from Zeph 3:17

"Yahweh, your God, is in your midst, a Warrior Who gives victory;

He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will renew you in His love;

He will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of festival." RSV

By the way, this great and big and Omnipotent (all powerful) and Sovereign God, is available to come and live inside your brain, your skin, your head, between your ears, behind your eyes, inside your mouth, throat, chest, belly, loins, legs, arms, hands, fingers, toes, shoes and clothes. This Almighty and Sovereign God is available to think His thoughts through your brain, speak His words through your lips, available to beeeeeee your life, and to live His Life through you!!! That's why He took you to the Cross with Him, why you died with Him, were buried with Him, were raised with Him, ascended with Him and are seated with Him, hidden with Christ in God. That's how to live the Christian life! There is nothing left to do, but to relax in the loving arms of your Heavenly Father, and let Christ live His Own Great Glorified Omnipotent, Sovereign Life through you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will the Real, True Sovereign Yahweh God Arise?!!!

If you read your Bible, and believe it, you will come to know that the REAL and TRUE Yahweh God can be reasoned with, prayed to, persuaded, made to be pleased with you. This picture of God is that of a God Who wants a world where people can freely choose to love Him, worship Him, give to Him, serve Him, live for Him, and adventure with Him. In this case, you are the one who determines whether or not the play will have a happy ending! In this case, on the stage of life, you are a co- director with God, and you can decide, to a large extent, the part you will play. You will decide when you get out of bed, if you witness to someone for Christ, how intensely you will worship, how much you will give, whether or not you commit sin. “Choose you this day, whom you will serve!” But, with the first kind of god, there is no choice, and every cause and effect promise of this god becomes meaningless, because you have no choice. The future is locked in. Nothing you can do will make any difference. With the true God, Papa Yahweh, you truly have a real choice. To the extent that you believe otherwise, you will be crippled, handicapped, limited, passive, unmotivated.

“If God knows that you are going to commit fornication, next Tuesday at 3 P.M., is there anything you can do to prevent it.” Yes: , or no: ? The answer is 'NO"!

Does the Lord enter with us into the adventure of the moment? Is His greatness diminished by joining us in our adventure of life, through what seems like uncharted territory, for both He and I? Does God join with us in this exciting adventure of living in the moment, together in the NOW?

In Africa, multitudes of people, including Moslems and Christians, think that if God knows that they are going to die that day, that there is nothing they can do to prevent it, that safety belts or safe driving or carefulness on the road will not help; or, that if Allah knows that they are going to live, there is no need to take safety precautions, fix the brakes, drive safely, or be mindful when crossing the road.

I asked a middle aged, deeply committed, educated, highly ranked Army nurse if she shouldn‟t remove a loose iron bar from the edge of her balcony in a multi-story apartment building. The round bar was dangerously poised on the very edge of the balcony, ready to fall on the heads of passersby far below. She replied, “God would not allow that to happen.” She had been a Christian for many years. Her attitude reflects the mentality of millions. There are many Christians who excuse their spiritual laziness, backsliding, luke-warmness, lack of initiative, etc., behind this kind of fatalistic thinking. Perhaps more correctly, the fatalism they embrace actually contributes to their laziness, backsliding, luke-warmness and lack of initiative. In fact, the implications of this are far reaching into our being, and, if we are not careful, can affect nearly everything that we do or are.

EVANGELISM???

For, example, if God knows already, the exact number and the names of the people in your area that will be lost and going to hell forever, by the end of this decade, then, there is nothing you can do to change what God already knows will happen, there is nothing you or anyone can do, to change that number, or change those names. Why evangelize? Why pray? If everything in the future is locked into this wrong concept of the foreknowledge of God, then, why pray? If Arminianism or Calvinism is true, then prayer can NOT change things. If the outcome is known already, then prayer can make no difference. According to this point of view, in a worship service, I will worship the way this kind of 'predestination' dictates that I will worship, so there is no use putting in greater intensity. If it is known ahead of time the amount of money that I will give, then there can be no “sacrifice of praise”. Many people believe that God knows thousands of years ahead of time: when I am going to get out of bed, if I am going to eat sugar by the ton, or exercise good body stewardship, and eat healthy instead. If the Lord already knows if I am going to exercise or not, and it is already determined, then there is no use my putting forth an effort. If God knows exactly how things are going to go at the Judgement Seat of Christ, then nothing I can do will change anything. It is all known and determined ahead of time, hence, a person can be lacking in initiative, motivation, incentive, the fear of God.

To the extent God knows the future of my life, to that same extent, I am uninspired to put forth an effort to change or improve my prospects for the future. Yes, He knows the plans He has for me. Yes, He knows the calling upon my life. Yes, He knows what He wants me to do. But I have everything to say about the extent to which I fulfill God's plan, blueprint, destiny, calling, for my life. I can, with God's enablement, fulfill it all, or, I can shake my fist in His face and tell God to go take a flying leap, and stay out of my life.

Many people will argue that God is less sovereign, less powerful, less than God if He allows certain aspects of your future to be up to you. If He allows you to determine how much you will serve and love and live for Him. But, I like this kind of God, much better, so we can adventure together. This kind of God is greater, is even MORE powerful and great. The computer programmer in the sky can do it all without love. But love presupposes the necessity of my free choice, or it is not love at all.

LOVE

God is love. God decided to create a Universe where love exists. But, in order for God to be able to create a world where love exists, He had to give people a choice as to whether or how much or in what manner that person would choose. If a man holds a knife to a woman's throat, and says to her, "Give me some love, Baby.", what ever he gets from her will NOT be love. Love is something that must be given freely. This Sovereign God, Daddy Yahweh, had to give you a choice, a true and real choice, as to how much, and in what manner you would love and choose and worship Him. This love is something that cannot be locked in stone!

Which god/God is greater, a god who knows already, way ahead of time, exactly if, or how much love you will have, how much money you will give, how much worship you will give, how high you are going to raise your hands, how much you are going to smile, give, worship, how enthusiastic you will sing, or even if you will go to church at all; or a God Who will woo and encourage and love you and bless you, but will leave it up to you how much you will give, how intensely you will love and worship and serve and obey Him?? Which god/God is better, the Great Sovereign Computer Programmer in the Sky? Or, the Almighty Sovereign Daddy Yahweh Papa God Who invites you to lovingly and joyfully adventure with Him, every moment!!!

GOD MADE ME DO IT!

If I lose my temper could I have prevented it?

Not if it was known ahead of time that I would lose my temper.

If I murder someone, could I have prevented it?

Not if it was known ahead of time that I would murder.

If I insult you could I have prevented it?

Not if it was known ahead of time that I would insult you.

If I go to hell, could I have prevented it?

Not if it was known ahead of time that I would go to hell.

A friend of mine had a tattoo on his arm that said, “Born to raise hell!” Was he created by God to raise hell? Could he have prevented it? Could he have refused the tattoo? Perhaps not, if he was too drunk or high, but could he have chosen to not get drunk or high. The Scriptures tell us, “Chose you this day whom you will serve.” If God knows ahead of time whom you will serve, you do not have a choice. Your choice is locked in rock!

But, are we really free to choose?

Not if it is known ahead of time what we are going to do.

The Bible tells us that Jesus was often amazed, both at people‟s unbelief and at people‟s faith. Yahshua would never be surprised about anything if He knew it ahead of time. The Bible tells us that there were many, many times when God would become angry with people. Would God get angry or hurt if He had known for 9,999 years beforehand that people were going to do that which made Him angry or hurt Him?

Yet, some one may say that God has given to us a free will. But, if God knows what you are going to do next week, or for the rest of today, then you do NOT have a free will, that, instead, you MUST do exactly all that God KNOWS you are going to do.

They used to tell us in Bible School: “The foreknowledge of God is not 'causative'.” We are out of Bible School now, and can not be given a bad grade for thinking, so we ask the question, “Why not?” If God knows ahead of time that you are going to steal a cookie, there is NOTHING that you can do to stop it. Some people believe in the kind of Sovereign god that knows they are going to steal the cookie, and that that god invented cookies with sugar, and that cookies with white sugar taste real good, so . . . heeeeere goes!!! "It is reeeeally the fault of this sovereign god that you ate the cookies with white sugar, 'cause he knew all the time that you were going to steal the cookie, so the whole thing is reeeeally god's fault!" Then, to top it off, these same people will accuse others of not believing in the Sovereignty of God, if you do not agree with their cookie stealing ways!!! \J/

There are many times in the Bible where God seems to be surprised. Here are some examples:

In Genesis, Abraham prays to God concerning Sodom, back and forth they go. Did God know where Abraham was going to stop? If God knew ahead of time where Abraham was going to stop, Abe's prayers would have been a stupid game, a pointless discussion.

DID GOD CHANGE HIS MIND?

See if you can picture this: God tells His people that He is going to lead them into the Promised Land. He promises and promises and promises them, then, suddenly, He forbids them!!! First, it was the perfect will of God that they go in. Suddenly, it is now the perfect will of God that they NOT go in!! Was Sovereign Omniscient God playing a cruel joke? Didn't God KNOW ahead of time that they would not go in? If so, why did He promise them and command them to go in, but now, suddenly, He is forbidding them and killing them for going in!

Deut 1:21 “See, Yahweh your God has placed the land before you; go up, take possession, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has spoken to you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (NAS) Yahweh tells the people of Israel to go into the Promised Land. They refuse. Then He tells them to not go in. They insist. One moment, it is the perfect will of God for them to go in, and the very next moment, it is the perfect will of God, that they NOT go in. Question: Did God know when it was His perfect will for them to go that it would be His perfect will for them to not go, within 10 minutes previous? Verse 34 “Then Yahweh heard the sound of your words, and He was

angry and took an oath, saying, 35 „Not one of these men, this evil generation, shall see the good land which I swore to give your fathers,‟ ” (NAS)

Any straight thinking person, even a child can understand what happened here. The people were stubborn. They complained. God became angry with them and CHANGED HIS MIND!!! The Moslem god does not change his mind. Plato's god does not change his mind. The Arminian god, or the god of Calvin does not change his mind. But the Sovereign God of the Bible, Papa Yahweh, changes His Mind!!! This lovely God can become disappointed, surprised, jealous, angry, hurt or be reasoned with.

When the Old Testament records that Yahweh was testing the children of Israel to see if they would walk in His way or not, did He know ahead of time whether they would pass the test? If so, the testing was nothing more than a silly game. So also, the bet that God had with the devil concerning Job. All that Job went through to prove God right, would have been a sick joke, had God known ahead of time, nor would it have been a fair wager with the devil, if God had arranged the outcome, or knew it unfairly, ahead of time. So also the temptation of Christ. If Christ had not been able to make a wrong choice, that temptation would have been unnecessary, pointless and foolish.

The vast majority of Christians believe that God knows everything ahead of time. They believe that God is so 'great' (Which is the greater God?) that He knows when you‟re going to blink your eyes at precisely 2:44:23.579 5 p.m. on August 4, 2???.

They believe God knows when you‟re going to cough, sneeze, hiccup, urinate. sin or belch, 17 years from now. They believe that He knows every sin you‟re going to commit for the next twenty years. According to these impressive theologians, god either planned for you to sin, or knew, way in advance that you would! Somebody asked the other day whether it was the will of God for the Columbine High School shootings to take place. Which god/God is greater? The sovereign computer programmer in the sky who decided 50 million years ago, exactly when you would blink, sneeze, burp, flatulate, cough or spit? Or, the Sovereign God Who gives you a choice, Who invites you to a true and fun adventure. Wouldn't it be just like our Lovely and loving Sovereign Omniscient God to share some of His sovereignty - with you?!

Isn‟t it true that every command in the Bible, speaks to the exercise of our free will? Does God know ahead of time whether or not you are going to scratch your head? If so, you cannot prevent it. Here's how Calvin reasons: "Scratch your head now.

There! God knew you would scratch it at precisely that very moment, over 10,000 years ago!" Does He know that you are going to Hell? If so, you cannot prevent it. Does He know that you are going to Heaven? If so, you cannot make it happen otherwise (according to the theologians, but NOT according to the Bible!).

The Truth is: You are free to chose. But if God knows ahead of time, every sin that you are ever going to commit, and whether or not you are going to Hell for it, then there is nothing you can do to stop it. Furthermore, God Himself would be wrong in punishing you for committing those sins, if He had programmed ahead of time that you would commit them. He should be punished, instead of you, for writing such a bad play script. In fact, isn‟t it true that if God foreordains, preplans, predestines people‟s sins, and their damnation, isn‟t it also true that God is the One Who is really guilty, because He wrote the script! If so, the sin and backsliding were His idea! Or, at the very least, He could have prevented it. You can see that this kind of thinking, is foolish.

1 Cor 10:13 "There hath NO temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." And, James 1:13 "Let no man say when he is tempted, 'I am tempted of God'[: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man:" The Lord is faithful and just, He has never programmed you to sin. Calvinism puts God in a bad light, by accusing God of planning your sin. The Arminianism puts God in a bad light, by accusing Him of not having truly provided for you, a way of escape. Then, they call this "God's Omniscience" and "God's Sovereignty". God is both Omniscient and Sovereign, but He does not use these aspects of His Nature to plan your sin, or nor plan that you be helpless to prevent them.

The Truth is: God is NOT responsible for any body‟s sin or damnation. Why? Because He gives everyone a choice! God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance and faith. Just because this Sovereign God is NOT willing that any should perish, will people perish?? Of course they will!!! God has used His power to give you the power to choose right or wrong, to love Him, or to hurt Him.

CAN GOD BE SURPRISED?!?!!

DID GOD GUESS WRONG?

Some people believe that since God knows everything ahead of time, like the Arminian god, or the Calvinist god or the Plato god or the Islam god, that, of course, God cannot, will not, could not be surprised. According to these, God knows everything thousands of years before anything, everything happens. The truth is, God is often surprised. He is surprised by our sin, our sacrifice of praise and giving, our thanksgiving. In fact, every day is a new adventure between us and God, as we co-labor together!

Jer 3:6 “Then the LORD (Yahweh) said to me in the days of Josiah, the king, „Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and she was a harlot there. 7 And I thought, “After she has done all these things, she will return to Me”; but she did not return, and her treacherous sister Judah saw it. 8 And I saw that for all the adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and given her a writ of divorce, yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and was a harlot also. 9 And it came about because of the lightness of her harlotry, that she polluted the land and committed adultery with stones and trees. 10 And yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with all her heart, but rather in deception,‟ declares the LORD (Yahweh). 11 And the LORD (Yahweh) said to me, „Faithless Israel has proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. 12 Go, and proclaim these words toward the north and say, “Return, faithless Israel,” declares the LORD (Yahweh); “I will not look upon you in anger. For I am gracious,” declares the LORD (Yahweh); “I will not be angry forever.” 13 Only acknowledge your iniquity, that you have transgressed against the LORD (Yahweh) your God and have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, and you have not obeyed My voice,” declares the LORD (Yahweh).‟ 14 “Return, O faithless sons,” declares the LORD (Yahweh); “For I am a Master to you, and I will take you one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. 15 Then I will give you shepherds after My Own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding.” ‟ ” (NAS)

HEZEKIAH

Isa 38:1 "In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah, the prophet, the son of Amoz, came unto him, and said unto him, 'Thus saith Yahweh, "Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live." ' 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto Yahweh, 3 And said, 'Remember now, O Yahweh, I beseech Thee, how I have walked before Thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in Thy sight." And Hezekiah wept sore. 4 Then came the word of Yahweh to Isaiah, saying, 5 'Go, and say to Hezekiah, "Thus saith Yahweh, the God of David thy father, 'I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.' " ' " Wow!! What happened to our all-knowing Sovereign God??? First God says the king is gonna die. Then God says that he's gonna live for another 15 years!! Was Isaiah being a false prophet? Was it God or was it Isaiah who made the mistake of thinking Hezzie was gonna die? Was God just kidding when He told the king that he would die?

No, the truth is obvious: God changed His mind!!! But, remember, the god of Islam, of Plato, of Calvin and of Arminian does NOT CHANGE GOD'S MIND!!

But the God of the Bible did, and does, in answer to prayer, or in response to OUR rebellion or worship or giving or whatever.

MAN HAD SOME IDEAS BEFORE GOD DID!

Jer 7:31 “And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, and it did not come into My mind.”!!!

Jer 19:5 “And have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it {ever} enter My mind.”

Jer 32:35 “And they built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben- hinnom to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through {the fire} to Molech, which I had not commanded them nor had it entered My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.”

In other words, here, we have several clear examples of people that came up with some ideas before God did!!!

I BELIEVE IN THE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD!

I BELIEVE IN THE FORKNOWLEDGE OF GOD!

Here's how it works: God, in His great Love, planned and made ready a whole life time filled with exciting plans and adventures for us with Him for good. But we have the power and the ability to shake our fist in the face of God and tell Him to take a flying leap. God Himself has given us the power to choose or to refuse to do His plan, His blueprint, His predestinations. Every promise God gives, every command, places incredible power within our hands to CHOOSE whether we will take advantage of the opportunity to do His will, or to do our own will. In Revelation 3:20, WE have the power to open and to invite, or to leave Christ standing without. He has delegated more authority to us than He Himself has, in this, and in many cases. He will not force His way into our lives, but stands patiently without, waiting for you to open the door to Him, to invite Him within.

God has used His sovereignty to share His "sovereignty" with us! He has NOT programmed us to be stupid robots that stupidly follow a stupid plan. God has NOT locked our future in stone or concrete. Instead, God gives US a choice, at ANY given time, either to chose His will, His predestined Sovereign plan, or to refuse it. This use of God's sovereignty makes God even greater than Plato's god, or Mohammed's god, or Calvin's god, or Arminian's god. The God of the Bible, Papa Yahweh, is a God that can be reasoned with, prayed effectively to, a God of love, and a God that can and does changes His mind in response to our obedience, our prayers, our sacrifice, or our rebellion.

GOD'S FOREKNOWLEDGE

There ARE certain things that God knows about, and has promised will happen, such as:

The Second coming of Christ The Perfection of the Bride

The establishment of His Universe wide Kingdom The defeat of the devil

The resurrection of the saints

The reaping of the End Time Harvest of the World The overcomers' ruling and reigning with Him

Etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

God before knows that these things will happen, because God will SEE TO IT, that these things will happen.

But, even the Second Coming, and The End, are interesting, in that the Bible speaks of our "hastening" His Coming. Mat.24:14 says, "And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the End come." But, let me ask you, Will the End come, if the Gospel of the Kingdom is not first preached in all the world for a witness to all the nations???

Because of a stupid and sloppy and heretical teaching on the "pseudo-sovereignty" and a wrong concept of the "foreknowledge" of God, the Church, and people within the church went to sleep, and in too many areas, passively waiting for God to do what God is waiting for us to do!!!!!!!

SOVERIEGNTY: TOTAL SUBMISSION TO GOD, NO MATTER WHAT!

I do not know if You planned, from Eternity past, that I fail You today, or if You have prior knowledge that I will hurt someone really badly today, but, please know, ahead of time, that there WAS a time at 9:37 A.M. on August 10, 200-, that I really, really loved You, earnestly reaching out to You, really longing for You, really appreciated You, really, deeply loved You."

But, if You do not hate me… If You have NOT destined me for Hell or failure or disgusting naughtiness, ,, If You have NO prior certainty that I will backslide, betray and brutalize, , , then, by Your grace, by Your Life, by Your power, Your love, Your Word, Your embrace, , , then, I want to love You, praise You, serve You, trust You, be Your friend, glorify You, please You, make You happy: TO THE SUPERNATURAL MAXIMUM!!!!!!!!"

In Jesus' Yahshua's Name I pray, Amen."

GOD'S FOREKNOWLEDGE

Eph 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Here is how it works: Before the foundation of the World, God knew that you would come to be, and planned on a life time of good works and adventures and accomplishments for you and Him. But we have everything to say about the extent to which we will DO those things that God planned for us.

THE OMNISCIENCE OF GOD!

Which is the greater God? The great all-knowing computer/robot maker in the sky who either wrote or read the script, and so, knows when you are going to blink your eyes or say "praise the Lord" (or not) 10 trillion years ahead of time. OR, the God Who has created a Universe where love exists, and hence, must limit Himself to knowing your future according to the rules of Love, His Rules of Life and Love that He freely offers us!?? Which do you prefer? The god who has locked it all in stone, who's heart is made of stone, who will not, can not change his mind no matter what? Or, do you prefer a God Who loves you, woos you, yearns for you, stands all day long with His hands out-stretched to you, Isa.65:2, if He knows ahead of time that you will NOT respond?

THE PLANS I HAVE FOR YOU

There is a much quoted sweet promise of God, from Jer 29:11, which says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, (Yahweh) thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." This verse makes it look like your rosy future is locked in concrete. Now this makes a nice yummy prophecy for just about any one at any time! This promise SEEMS to be promising everyone, everywhere, or at least, you and yours, that you will live happily ever after! But there is only one problem. Certain conditions MUST be met, or this promise turns into a promise of gloom and doom! In other words, this concrete promise from an all-knowing Sovereign God is worthless, and will become a curse, if you fail to meet God's terms, which are specified in the context of this verse: "12 Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart."

Question: What will happen to you and me if we do NOT call upon God, NOT pray to God, NOT seek God, NOT search for God??? The answer is given in the following verses in that same chapter: Jer 29:19 "Because they have NOT hearkened to My words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD. (Yahweh)." It looks like our All-Knowing God knows this: that IF you seek Him, you will find Him, but, that IF you do NOT seek and love and obey Him, that the following WILL happen to you: "17 Thus saith the LORD of Hosts; 'Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. 18 And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: 19 BECAUSE they have NOT hearkened to My words', saith the LORD (Yahweh), which I sent unto them by My servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but YOU WOULD NOT hear, saith the LORD (Yahweh)'."

ON THE OTHER HAND! (Balance)

At the beginning I wrote a disclaimer, acknowledging that I did not know it all. May I have a disclaimer from you? You may not believe me, but there are some things in the Bible that I cannot explain: He chose Paul and Jeremiah, John the Baptist and me from the mother's womb. He marked Judas and Pharaoh for vessel of dishonour, possibly because both of them first hardened their own heart. In the case of Esau and Jacob, I do not understand what God seemingly arbitrarily chose to love one and hate the other. I just do not know the answer. Do you?

God promises to bless the righteous to a thousand generations! Here we have an example of "generational blessings"!! In my own life, and the life of my wife, our ancestors were godly, for as far back as we can trace! We, nor our folks, nor our children nor their children, ever backslid or rebelled away from God. Backsliding makes as much sense as opening the door to the car at 50 miles an hour and rolling out onto the pavement. The Bible says in Phil 2:13 "For it is God Which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure."

I love that verse: Phil 2:13 "For it is God Which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure."!!! So we see the Sovereign Omnipotent God working within us! He deserves all the credit! But notice, this verse is preceded in verse 12, where the Bible commands us to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." In every person's life, every person DECIDES to work either with God, or against God. Here is the balance.

6 BLIND MEN & THE ELEPHANT

Story is told of 6 blind men each describing an elephant: One felt the tail, knew the elephant was like a rope.

Another felt the ear, knew the elephant was like a big leaf. Another felt the tusk, knew the elephant was like a spear.

Another felt the leg, knew the elephant was like a pillar. Another felt the side, knew the elephant was like a wall. Another felt the trunk, knew the elephant was like a snake.

It is important to read the entire Bible, for a balanced perspective. Before you have an argument with anyone over anything in the Bible, begin first, by agreeing to agree with each others' Bible verses. There are many who insist that there is ONLY ONE SIDE to a coin or an argument. But, there are at least 4 sides to a coin: heads, tails, end view, and the inside molecular microcosm, etc. But there are those who approach this subject of the Sovereignty of God, with one biased, blind, narrow minded point of view. If these people refuse to agree with and embrace the Scriptures on your side of the argument, as well, you waste your time with them.

Some people insist on looking at every Scripture through "Calvin-Glasses", or "Arminian-Glasses", or Plato-Glasses", or 'Allah glasses" that are biased and colored. They refuse to look at the Bible without their colored glasses. When reading the Bible, we need to remove our biases and prejudices. Amen.

The Calvinist, the Arminianist is NOT balanced, but the Bible IS balanced, as with all of these stories that we have told, of Hezekiah, of Moses, of Abraham, of the Promised Land, etc. This is another reason for us to need to read the entire Bible, over and over, from cover to cover without skipping any parts, as a life habit. This is one of the very best ways to stay balanced.

Deut 1:33 “Who goes before you on {your} way, to seek out a place for you to encamp, in fire by night and CLOUD by day, to show you the way in which you should go.”

Why did God have to "seek out" a place for them to stay? Didn't He know where they were going to stay, 4 thousands years before they were to stay there?

GOD KNOWS EVERY THING THAT CAN BE KNOWN!

Some people might say, "John Bohlen does NOT believe in the Sovereignty of God!" or, "John Bohlen does NOT believe in the Omniscience or foreknowledge of God!" These people would be mistaken. It is true that I do not believe that God's heart is made of stone. I do not believe that God planned for people to be raped, planned that they go to hell, planned your failure or sin. No, instead, I believe that God planned for you to consistently be gloriously victorious and to have the abundant life! God will not FORCE you to love and serve Him. I do not believe that your future is locked in concrete, or that you will go to Hell, no matter what you do.

Because of love, God has Sovereignly decided to give some of His sovereignty to you, so that you can FREELY CHOOSE to love and serve and praise and live for Him, or choose not to, as YOU DECIDE!.

Because of Love, God has SOVEREIGNLY CHOOSEN to limit His knowledge of the future, by allowing you to chose to love Him or not. But, if God knows ahead of time what you will choose, then you are not really free to choose.

Again, I ask you, "Which God do you prefer: The great computer/robot programmer in the sky?? Or, do you prefer to love and serve and walk with and to adventure with God, through every day and every night, all the time, forever!!? If you do not have the freedom to decide to adventure with Him, then all of life is a silly game, a masquerade, a farce, a tragedy, horror story.

No, you are in love with the God of Love, Who woos and wins you with His blessings and bounty, His provision and His protection, His healing and His encouragement. Amen.

For years now, I have opened many a conversation with strangers and friends, “Does God know ahead of time, whether or not you are going to commit adultery next Thursday, at 3 P.M.??? Most of the time they will know the answer as soon as I say, “Does God know ahead of time - ?” If they say “yes”, then I respond by saying, “Then there is not a blessed thing you can do to stop it from happening.”

My favorite thing is to teach minister‟s seminars. In other countries, like African countries, they are so deeeeply teachable and so eager to learn. I have taught these seminars in the Republic of Benin, in Ghana, South Africa, Lesotho and 18 ministry trips to Nigeria. My favorite thing to teach is the Gospel of the Kingdom, since it must be preached in all the world before the end can come. Mt 24:14

I teach the who, how, what, where, and when of the Kingdom of God. One of the sessions is: “The Heart of the King!” Here, I begin by asking them 2 or 3 questions about the future, like, “Does God know the names and the number of all the people in their town that are going to go to hell, by the end of the nest decade?” or, “Does God know ahead of time if or when the drop of perspiration on my forehead is going to drop on the ground?”, or “ - when the little lizard on the wall is going to move its head?” and the “adultery next Thursday” question. They almost all always answer “Yes!” Then I begin the teaching by talking about Plato‟s God, and I hold up a large stone, or slam my palm into a concrete wall or pillar, to describe how this heart of god is a heart of stone, and that this god has the future locked in concrete, and that, thousands of years ahead of time, that god knows. Then I explain the same thing about Augustine‟s god, and the god of the Moslem: same thing. No use wearing a seat belt, or keeping the car in good repair, or in driving safely - If God wants me dead or alive, no carefulness on my part can make any difference, etc.

Then I take them to the Bible, describe how carefully God made the Universe, Adam and Eve and the beautiful garden. Then to Genesis 6:6, and describe how the Heart of God was fiiiiiiiiilled with pain. I ask them “How big is the heart of God???”

“The heaven of heavens cannot contain God”. I ask them to try to imagine a heart that size filllllllled with pain. I talk to them about Yahweh‟s patience with the children of Israel, and example Moses arguing with God and how “God repented of the evil that He thought to do..” I dramatically slap the concrete pillar or hold the stone high, and show the difference. The heart of stone does not repent, nor the god of the Moslem. Nor the god of Arminius nor Calvin. By the time I finish, there is not a Calvinist in the room. Sometimes, with tears, and the shaking of the head, they come to see that their God can be reasoned with, and that prayer CAN make a difference.

I am prepared to say that to believe or to teach that the future is exclusively closed is to believe or teach heresy. That teaching really puts God in a bad light, and ABSOLUTELY cripples one‟s faith and initiative and prayer life and evangelistic fervor, and enthusiasm in praise, etc. I believe that there are many millions of people today who either are in a lukewarm or backslidden or unsaved state because they do not know about the God of the Open Future. I believe that this truth is part of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

MOTIVATION. INCENTIVE, INITIATIVE!

In that chapter, I ask the question: "If God wants a thing to happen, will it happen?" Most will answer, "Yes!" But the real answer is: "Not necessarily." Then I give many examples from the Bible where God wants things to happen, but they will NOT happen, unless we co-operate with Him to make them happen!

The following are examples:

Ask, seek, knock and it will What will happen if we don't, ask? Will we automatically receive or find or have it opened? No. Does God want us to receive? Yes.
All things work together for our good. But not unless we love God, and are the called according to His will, which means that we are doing what He called us to

All things are possible! But not unless we

"Lo, I will be with you always, even unto the " But not unless we fulfill the Great Commission.
"He always will " But, not unless we confess, repent and forsake our sin.
God is not willing that any should perish! Will some perish? Of course, Rom 10:14 "How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent?" Will all of this happen automatically? Of course not! God is still asking, "Who will go?" and, "Whom shall I send?"

Is the fullness of the Holy Spirit automatic? The Bible says that we must

Is death to self automatic? No, first, we must know that we are dead, and then, reckon ourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, and alive in God. Romans 6.

, 10), 11) through 1,000+), , etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

As I said in the beginning of this article, my purpose in writing this, is to put a spring in your step, to heighten your sense of adventure, to help you become a co- creator with God, to experience the excitement of adventuring with God, moment by moment, to increase your zeal for God!

A LETTER TO, AND FROM, A FRIEND

Here is a copy of a letter I have written in response to an article written by a friend of mine.

Beloved Bro.,

I could not find the word "omniscient" in the KJV, NIV, NAS, UNAS, NKJ, ASV. Though I believe in God's omniscience.

I have some questions:

Did God know ahead of time that the children of Israel would go into the Promised Land when He promised them, told them that they would? If so, He apparently changed His Mind. If not, He was only kidding.

If God did know that, in fact, the children of Israel would not go in, why did He tell them that they would?

Did God know, when He told Moses that he should stand aside, that He was going to kill all those Israelites, and make a nation of Moses, that, in fact, He would NOT kill them, and that He would NOT make a nation of Moses? If so, did God change His mind, and if not, was He only kidding? And, why does it say, " Ex 32:14 "And the LORD (Yahweh) repented of the evil which He thought to do unto His people." Did God reeeally repent? He must have changed His Mind?

Did God know ahead of time that Abraham would stop at 10 people at Sodom? If so, that discussion with Abraham was a silly game.

Was God operating out of His "Omniscience" when He made that wager with the devil about Job? If so, He was making the bet unfairly.

When God tested the children of Israel, did He know ahead of time if they would pass the test? If He knew ahead of time, He must not have had the purpose in Mind that the Bible says was His purpose, "to see what they would do".

Did God know ahead of time how the temptation of Christ would turn out? If so, it would seem that the temptation was a worthless game.

If it has been predetermined how many souls will be saved, and how many, and whose names of those lost, why should I put forth an effort to evangelize?

You say that foreknowledge is not causative. I say, if God knows ahead of time that something is going to happen, it will happen. I do not have a choice. If God knows ahead of time that I will commit adultery tomorrow at 3, then there is nothing I can do to prevent it from happening. I can blame Him for locking it in.

In Hebrews 4:13 we read "And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." True. God knows the knowable.

1 John 3:20 says: ". God is greater than our heart and knows all things." True. God knows all that can be known.

In Isaiah 46:9-10 we find: ". I am God, declaring the end from the beginning,". Yes. God declares and decrees the end. In Matthew 24:14, God declares that when "this Gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in all the world for a witness to all the nations that THEN the End will come." Will the End come before we do this? And, what does it mean that we should "hasten His coming"? 1 Peter 3:12 "He that endures to the end will be saved." Apparently, I need to endure to the end.

You quote Psalm 139:4 , which says, "Even before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it all." We think before we speak, and God knows our thoughts.

You say, "Also, since God is all-powerful (omnipotent) (Gen. 17:1; Job 42:2; Rev. 19:6; 21:22), it can be argued that He has the power to know all future events." I say that in order to know all future events, all God has to do is to program us as computerized robots. The Calvinists say that God knows all the rapes, sexual molestations and dismemberings ahead of time, because He planned all the rapes, etc., to happen. The Armenians say God knows about all the rapes ahead of time but did nothing to stop them.

You say, "there is a doctrine that emphasizes man's free will" Do we not have a free will???

You say, that some people say that "Some events may even surprise Him" Can we not surprise God with our sacrifice of love offerings or praise or service or faith? The Bible says in Jeremiah, chapters 7, 19 and 32 says that the people came up with things that God had never even thought of before. The Bible says God thought that His people would do such and such, but, instead they did something else. Jer 3:7, "And I thought, 'After she has done all these things, she will return to Me'; but she did not return, - " (NAS and others) Apparently God thought wrong. Or, if He had known ahead of time, apparently He didn't think after all.

And, why was the Heart of God filled with pain, and why did He regret or repent that He had made man on the earth, if He had known all along that He would have to kill everyone, except Noah and family? Gen. 6:6 "The LORD (Yahweh) was grieved that He had made man on the earth, and His heart was filled with pain. (from New International Version) "And it repented the LORD (Yahweh) that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart." KJV If God knew thousands of years ahead of time that all this would happen, why is He grieved, why the broken heart, why is His Omnipotent Heart filllllllled with pain, and why is this Omniscient God repenting???

You say, "The fact that God knows what choices people will make before they make them does not mean that they have lost their free wills." Of course it does!

You say, "It may be argued that God does not know who will be saved and who will not be saved, because if He did, everyone's destiny would be predetermined." First of all, the Scriptures teach that God foreknew and predestination those who would be saved (Romans 8:29-30; 9:22-24"

Rom 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the Gospel of Peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!' 16 But they have not all obeyed the Gospel. For Esaias saith, 'Lord, who hath believed our report?' 17 So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. 18 But I say, 'Have they not heard?' Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world. 19 But I say, 'Did not Israel know?' First Moses saith, 'I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you." 20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, 'I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after Me.' 21 But to Israel, He saith, 'All day long I have stretched forth My hands unto a disobedient and gain-saying people.' " The Bible is filled with "if"s and conditions. Why would God stand all day long and stretch His hands out to a people whom He knew ahead of time, would refuse to come? If my calling and election is sure, then why do I need to make sure it is sure? If those who endure to the End will be saved, do I not need to endure to the end, or is my end guaranteed? We need to take these Scriptures in context, or, we make them a pretext.

Acts 13:48 See also Acts 13:39 "By Him, everyone who believes, is justified from all things from which you could not be justified, by the law of Moses. 40 Beware therefore, lest what has been spoken in the prophets come upon you:" Question: If it is all locked in, why does it say, "Everyone who believes", and why does it say, "Beware, therefore" If it is all automatic, all, already decided, why the need to believe, and why the need to beware?

Since God is not willing that any should be lost, is it possible that everyone's name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life, until and unless we have come to the place where in fact, it should be removed and erased from the Book? Rev 3:5 "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before his angels." It is not automatic, we must "overcome" to keep our names written there.

You say, "God must know whose names are in the book of life, and He must, therefore, also know whose names are not there." Who says? Rev 22:19 "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." It is not automatic, if we take away from the words of this Book, our names will be removed, even if they have been written there since before the world's foundation!

Rev.14:11 says nothing about the book, only that we should be careful to not take the mark. I do not understand this reference as applying.

You say, "If i were to accept the belief that God does not know all of the future, i would not find it as easy to be at rest and without anxiety with regard to the future as i do presently." The Bible gives us many certain conditions for peace and safety. For example, we are NOT guaranteed the safety benefits of Psalm 91 if we do not dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High, nor if we do not abide under the Shadow of the Almighty, under His feathers, under His wings, nor if we do not run into our fortress, and be safe. To glibly assume that we are safe, when, in fact, we must meet certain conditions to be safe, is unsafe. The Moslems think this kind of fatalistic garbage.

You say, "The fact that God knows what choices people will make before they make them does not rob them of their free wills." Yes, it does. And, in direct proportion to the extent that people truly embrace this ungodly fatalism and predeterminism, to that same extent, motivation, zeal, and the fear of God, are minimized.

You say, "God knows all things and we all have a free will. There is nothing incompatible or contradictory in this." Yes, there is. Again, if God knows ahead of time that I will commit murder, or adultery, tomorrow at 3, there is nothing I can do to prevent it. The Good News is, that God lovingly enters with me into glorious adventuring together, in each new moment. Amen

BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT

A fleshly person is a person who does what their body wants them to do.

A soulish person does what their emotions and feeling want them to do. This kind of person becomes a slave to one‟s own feelings and emotions.

A spiritual person does what God tells them to do!!!

A fleshly, carnal person, a person who walks in the flesh, allows one's self to become a slave to what his or her body tells them to do. If the body does not feel like getting out of bed, the person meekly submits to the Body‟s demand. If their body does not feel like exercising, the person does not exercise. If their body wants to eat certain foods, like sugar, candy, chocolate, ice cream, pop, alcohol, drugs, carbohydrates, cakes, starches, etc., and that person KNOWS that what their body is telling them to do or be is unhealthy, and unwise, and is poor body stewardship, then a fleshly or carnal person does what their body wants them to do. This kind of person easily becomes an addict. This situation exists with food addiction, sexual addiction, drug addiction, alcohol addiction, crime addiction, gambling addiction, spending addiction, laziness addiction, sloppiness addiction, television addiction, etc.

Let‟s understand the Bible use of the word “flesh”. Of the 149 times the word flesh is used in the King James New Testament, 95 of the mentions, have to do with the human body, and are not used in a negative context. In fact, there are only a few times with the rest of the selections that are used to depict negativity.

A soulish person does what emotions and feelings tell him or her to do. If one‟s emotions or feelings tells them to be discouraged, depressed, resentful, bitter, angry, unforgiving, sad, morose, negative, complaining, victim-like, unbelieving, passive, lazy, withdrawn, impatient, etc., then, that‟s what they allow themselves to do and to be and to become!

Every command of God, every leading of the Holy Spirit, speaks to the choice of our will. A spiritual person will do the will of God, no matter what the circumstances, conditions, feelings, or emotions say to the contrary. A spiritual person will forgive, even when he or she does not feel like forgiving. The same is true of anger, discouragement, laziness, temptations, or resentment, etc. A spiritual person will rejoice and give thanks, at any time, or under any circumstance, simply because, that is what God commands and expects. Phil 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, 'Rejoice!'." A spiritual person will obey this command, in spite of feelings and emotions and conditions to the contrary, simply because it is the right and proper thing to do, simply because it is the will of God, simply because the New Testament commands it. The same thing is true for the Scriptural commands to "love each other fervently from a pure heart", to "Give thanks, at all times, in (and for) everything!!!" 1 Peter 1:22, 1 Thes. 5:16-18, and Eph.5:20

THE DEAD MOUSE AND THE PRANSOME HINCE

We have a friend that was horribly abused as a child. Normally such a person grows up feeling like a victim. In the process of giving advice, an astounding revelation came to me when I made this statement:

“EVERY PROMISE AND COMMANDMENT FROM GOD, PUTS YOU IN CONTROL!”

Suddenly, the light dawned upon some areas of my thinking that I really needed. I realized that, to a large extent, I had been acting like a VICTIM in my relationship with God.

Let me give some examples:

I had pictured God as this great big God, Who could treat me any way He wants, because, even at my best, I was at His mercy. He could give me money if and as He wants, reprintings, open doors, healings, miracles. Though I blessed Him, I also saw God as the person Who has kept me from success, kept my dreams from being realized, kept my prayers from being answered, kept me from financial abundance. Every time I thought of the promises of God, I would feel helpless. Every time I was called upon to heal the sick, I would feel like I am God's Victim. Like Job. It was my main concept of God. A Big capricious whimsical game-playing, dice throwing, crap shooting God, Who could jerk us around, play dirty tricks on us, deny us, lie to us, or at least play some pretty serious cosmic jokes on us.

I realize that I had been thinking of myself like a poor abused and mistreated but right-spirited husband, wife or child, huddled in a corner, waiting for God to play another trick on me. All this time, I saw myself as God's punching bag for His pleasure, and for my good. I saw myself as being more fair than God Himself, more righteous than God Himself, in the sense that He could break His promises to me, but I could not break mine to Him. He could make me a promise and not fulfill it, but not me. He could fill my heart with keen and earnest expectations, and not fulfill them. He could promise to take me to Disney Land, or fishing, or promise to give me an ice cream cone, and then, delay or change His Mind. He could promise me healing, and not heal. God could promise to supply and not supply. God could promise to answer prayer, and not answer. God could fill my mind with dreams and visions, goals and aspirations - and not fulfill them. And, all the while, I am to “be content in whatsoever state I am, even if -”, “keep a right spirit, even though I am God's victim”, “keep on serving Jesus, even when the healings don't come”, “in everything give thanks, even though prayers aren't answered”, “keep on being faithful, even though the money is minimal”, “keep on working hard, even though the results are limited”, “keep on trying to believe God, even when He disappoints me”.

“RELIGIOUS MASOCHISM”

One of the worst sexual perversions in the world today, is sadism/masochism. Sadism is when one gets a kick out of hurting others. Masochism is the enjoyment of being hurt. As sick as this gets in the sexual realm, it is even more sick in the religious realm where people get a kick out of mistreating others. But there are many, many people who get a sick thrill from being mistreated, perhaps, because they believe that they deserve it. Many sexual masochists have a background of sexual abuse, and their pain helps them to feel less guilty. In the religious area, many people have been made to feel that they are miserable, bad, naughty sinners who deserve to be punished, so they are drawn to ministers who scold and berate them. Some people don't feel good until they feel bad.

I don't think that was my problem, but, it may have given me a sense of religious pride to see myself as being more fair than God, more righteous than God, more faithful than God.

DEAD MOUSE - We picked up a mouse hand puppet at a garage sale, that looked like it was dead when not activated by the hand. We will speak more about this later, but some people have what we call a "dead mouse" victim's mentality.

GRATITUDE!

What is the very best attitude? Attitude of Gratitude!

Jesus stands every day with His Arms outstretched.

Or are you angry with the Father,

'Cause He doesn't give what you‟d rather,

You want God to be your slave that carried and fetched.

It's up to you to praise the Lord,

Or by you, He'll be ignored.

Like a grumpy, ungrateful child who should be spanked.

You can thank God, or you don't,

But, if not, well then, you won't.

Then God Himself will wait and not be thanked.

The ten lepers all received

Healing, almost unbelieved!

Then Jesus calmly waited for result.

One came back and thanked Him sweetly, But God pondered this one deeply

Ingratitude in spoiled children, but - adult?

Time, trouble, effort, energy -

Look at all that Jesus does for thee,

If you praise from dawn till dusk, you've just begun I have decided to be most grateful,

And not to be so hateful,

But be thankful to the Father, Who sent His Son.

My hands I'll raise, with heart ablaze, Others amaze, "He's a craze!"

It doesn't faze, on You I'll gaze.

I will praise You all my days, all my ways. Amen CO-CREATORS WITH GOD!

The Bible says that we are called to be co-labourers with God. Virtually every positive cause and effect relationship we have with God causes us to be co-creators with Him. Every miracle where Yahweh used a person as the channel of the miracle, caused that person to be involved in a co- labouring, co-creating with God.

There is even a sense in which, when God created us, and then commanded and invited us to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue and exercise dominion over it, it causes us to be involved with Him in the development of His creation.

The ultimate co-creating that we can be involved with is when we discover and live "The King's Greatest Secret".

Think about it: God comes to live inside of us. Shouldn‟t that make a difference?! I was thinking about demon possession. In Africa, we hear stories about soul travel, body travel, flying on brooms, healings, curses, etc. Instead of demon possession or devil possession, what about "God possession"??? Instead of having an evil spirit, how about having the Holy Spirit?! In literature, fiction or otherwise, and in movies, we have stories of what happens when people turn into vampires, wolves, strong people, heroes, evil people, etc. What would happen if we had people change into God possessed, Holy Spirit possessed, Christ possessed people?!!

Remember what happened when the Holy Spirit came upon people in the past?!

Exod 31:3 “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.” (KJV)

Num 11:25 “And Yahweh came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.” (KJV)

Deut 34:9 “And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the Spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses. 10 And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face, 11 In all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 12 And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.” (KJV)

Judg 6:34 “But the Spirit of Yahweh came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him.” (KJV)

Judg 14:5 “ - behold, a young lion roared against him. 6 And the Spirit of Yahweh came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.” (KJV)

Spiritual warfare is the exercise of our spiritual weapons and gifts and abilities in God in a co- creating way.

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF CO-CREATION WITH GOD

Not demon-possessed, but God possessed!

In the movie, "Total Recall", this super guy had another slimy but brilliant person inside him, they got shot, but they were heroes while it lasted. How much more, if Christ lives in us!

The story of “The Incredible Hulk”, is a story about a person who, when stressed, changes in to a kind of terrible, but good monster, with superhuman strength, etc. The beast roars and contorts, with torn clothes, and gigantic muscles.

But look at the truth about God coming to live on the inside of us! It is Yahshua Jesus Yahweh, Creator King of Everything, Who comes to live within!!

Can you see how the enemy comes to distort this process, by bringing destructive pride, man (or woman) worship, sexual side tracking. By sexual side-tracking, I am talking about how the Presence of God in a person‟s life, begins to make that person so beautiful, so graceful, so lovely, so wonderful, so talented, so fruit of the Spirit - kind and loving, that someone else will “fall in love” or be attracted to that person. Often the person in whom Christ dwells, has had a dysfunctional background, or may not realize what is happening, and become victimized by the other person, by the enemy‟s design. Our son, Joshua, was sooooo full of God and the fruit of the Holy Spirit, that young ladies would be drawn to this sweetness, thinking that the sweetness was coming from him. He was merely the first person in their lives who showed them respect, kindness, gentleness, and love - the fruit of the Holy Spirit!

BODY STEWARDSHIP

Another area of side-tracking is in the area of the physical body. If the enemy can keep us ignorant of how the Presence of God in our lives is to impact and affect our body, or if we remain ignorant, then a great waste has taken place.

Tell me, shouldn‟t the Presence of God in our bodies make us more healthy? If the Creator King of Everything is living in our bodies, shouldn‟t His Presence make us more healthy, and strong, and vibrant, and effervescent, and energetic and happy and whole? Shouldn‟t the Presence of a perfect God, a Perfect Christ, an all powerful Holy Spirit in our bodies, make us more healthy???

We‟ve got to get the idea of the Presence of God being, not only in a cathedral, temple, a mountain- top, a closet, a dream, a mystical place, etc., but INTO OUR BODIES!!!

Yes, Christ is coming some Day, but in the meanwhile, HE wants to come and live on the inside of our bodies, our feet, our hands, our scalp, our skin, our eyes, our feet, our legs, our loins, our belly, our chest, our liver, our kidneys, our pancreas, our arms, our hands, our face, our nose, our cells, our brain, etc. HE wants to change those organs and bones and brain and body parts!!! Amen. That‟s one reason HE took all of these things with Him to the Cross and allowed such abuse of HIS physical body: SO WE COULD BE HEALTHY!!! By HIS stripes we are healed!!! HE HIMSELF bore our sicknesses in HIS BODY, so that we would not have to be sick or unhealthy.

OUR SOUL:

OUR WILL, OUR EMOTIONS, OUR MIND, OUR SUB-CONSCIOUS MIND, OUR MEMORIES

There is what is known in Christendom a phenomenon called “inner healing” or “healing of the emotions”. The problem with many who are practitioners in these areas is that they often lack a revelation of “THE KING‟S GREATEST SECRET!”!! There is much good that they do, but here, I believe that their ministry and approach can be improved. Consequently, there is often no lasting healing, or, it can be wrongly based.

Let's look at some Scriptural examples of co-creation with Yahweh.

SPEAKING THINGS INTO EXISTENCE

There are many examples from the Bible where men of God "spoke things into existence”. God told Moses to speak to the Rock. God told Ezekiel to speak to the dry bones.

Jesus Yahshua said that it was the Father in Him that did the following works:

Jesus Yahshua instructed the maid to arise. Jesus Yahshua declared the sins were forgiven. Jesus Yahshua spoke to the storm to still.

Jesus Yahshua told Lazurus to come forth.

Jesus Yahshua commanded the demons to go out. Jesus Yahshua demanded the fig tree to be cursed. Jesus Yahshua commended His Spirit to the Father.

Jesus Yahshua layed hands on, multiplying the loaves and fishes.

Jesus Yahshua promised Peter that the gold would be in the fish's mouth. Jesus Yahshua directed the disciples to put nets on the other side of the boat.

Jesus Yahshua announced to the disciples that He would make them fishers of men. Jesus Yahshua said that “The Father in Me, does the works!”

Is "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven." a request, or a declaration of faith? We may miss the point if we always see it as a plaintive plea.

WAYS TO PRAY

Father, Yahweh, In the Mighty Name of Yahshua, Son of Yahweh, by the Holy Spirit, I declare and prophesy “open doors of utterance that the Gospel of the Kingdom may spread unhindered."

I declare in the Name of Yahshua that the needed finances come in, and more besides so that we may give abundantly to others.

In the Mighty Name of Yahshua, Son of Yahweh, by the Holy Spirit, I bind, cast out and away from us and this place, and curse to Hell, every hindrance to our lives and ministry in the mighty Name of Yahshua. I bind every spirit, principality and power, every ruler of darkness of the air, spiritual wickedness in high places,

We speak that the needed finances come in from every point on the compass - that God raise up the needed help. That the books be printed, that the funds needed for their printing would come forth, that there would be a market for them, and a desire, that the doors of utterance be opened to other lands, other countries.

Prophesy that recordings be made of singing and that people will want to see them.

In short, use your mouth as an instrument with which to declare and prophesy what ever you believe to be the perfect will of God.

You see, if you really have a revelation of “the King's Greatest Secret!”, then you will believe for, and allow God to create still, in and through you!!!"

New songs. We prophesy and agree and declare that this place will be all that God wants it to be.

The importance of tongues: The Spirit of God is given a voice through whom to pray, to create, to worship, to judge.

Active ministry from now on Dance, march, sing, worship,

This is a time of inventions, creativity, art, dance, plays, new songs, poems, music, prophesies, breakthroughs.

Should we start a new church, the church on the hill, with a huge parking lot devoted to the church. Should we have it out in this field between here and tower road? A ministry of teaching and miracles that will reach round the world.

From now on, we must pray as though the promises are true, as though prayer accomplishes something good, as though prayer changes things.

Do you remember when the man of God raises his hands and extends them toward the people, as though he is actually blessing them? Sometimes he or she will say, "The Lord bless thee! The Lord keep thee. May the Lord lift up the light of His countenance upon thee. The Lord make His face to shine upon thee, and give thee peace. Amen!" God wants an actual impartation of blessing to take place during this time. He wants something lovely and blessed and positive and creative to take place.

By that same token, God leads us to bind and lose, to agree together.

God created the world by this means, by faith, yes, but the means by which this faith was expressed was the spoken word of faith declaration, "Let there be ---!!!" and there was.

BY FAITH, DOING THINGS TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN

In Luke, chapter 15, Jesus tells of the Prodigal Son, who wasted his inheritance, then came back and received another, but the Older Son was disgruntled. The story has an unhappy ending. "Son, all that I have is yours. You could have had the fatted calf, any time you would have wanted it!" The story is told of a person who was being shown around Heaven by St. Peter. When they came to warehouses full of gifts, stacked to the roof, the question was asked, "What are all these presents?" Peter answered, "Why, these are all the gifts and blessings that God wanted you to enjoy when you were on the Earth, so here they are for you now."

“Pretend” and “Pretend”

I use the word 'pretend' in two different ways: 1) In the standard sense of acting like something is true when it is not true. But I also use the word 'pretend' 2) when we are to act like something is true, because it IS True!!! Every time the Bible, or God, asks us to act like something is true because it is true, is, for example when God wants us to exercise faith for something. "We have the Mind of Christ" "For we are dead, and our life is hidden with Christ in God." Romans 6:11 "Reckon yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive inn Christ!" Here, 'reckon' means, 'act like this is true, because it IS true!'

Christ invites you to be the kind of person who memorizes, pays attention to, and does the promises of God, such as, "Matt 18:19 "If two of you shall agree on Earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father Which is in Heaven." KJV and, Matt 21:22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." KJV and, Matt 18:18 "Whatsoever ye shall bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven." Yesterday, when looking at my circumstances, finances and limitations, it seemed that I could see myself all doubled up in a corner, in a fetus position, sucking my thumb, cowering and shivering, shutting my eyes tight against the bright light of reality, wishing the day would pass, and hoping that it wouldn't. The core issue for me was, again, the unfulfilled prophecies, the unactualized potential, the promises in Scripture, that remain dormant, theoretical, potential, undeveloped, unrealized, unfulfilled.

Should I rise to my feet, take my thumb out of my mouth, lay down my security blanket, throw away my pacifier, discard my baby bottle, straighten my shoulders, open my mouth, and shout against the wind, the circumstances, the limitations, the status quo, the poverty, weakness, the lassitude. the insipidity, the stupor, the languidity, the passivity, the inactivity, the unfruitfulness. the fruitlessness, the hopelessness, the helplessness, the poverty, the weakness, the limitations, the closed doors, and prophesy the greater works???????

By the power of prayer, and the authority of the spoken word, should we bind the former, and loose the latter? We pray and boldly prophesy the victory, the strength, the provision, the vision, the money, the open doors, the break-throughs, the miracles, the signs and wonders, the power, the purity, the acceptance, the fruitfulness, the adventures of our God! In the Mighty All Powerful Matchless Name of Yahshua Jesus, we pray. Amen.

DEAD MOUSE MENTALITY

At a garage sale in Portland area, a couple of years ago, I purchased a hand puppet that was a grey mouse. God used this limp and lifeless puppet to illustrate to me and to us, that we are not to be a dead mouse victim, in our walk and relationship with Him, the Lord Yahweh. In contrast, I remember putting a live mouse that I had caught, into the bath tub where he couldn't get out, and then putting our mouse killer cat, into the tub with the mouse.. I vividly remember that mouse, literally standing up on its hind feet and facing the big cat bravely, ready to fight to the death, something a hundred times bigger than itself.

There is so very much about our lives and our Christianity, that considers itself good and proper and decent and successful, if we are only dead mice. A dead mouse does not sin, but it does not do any good, either. God has not called you or me to be dead mouse. Nor has He called us to be dead to our limitations, our status quo, our lack of finances or our lack or productivity, or our helplessness or circumstances or our worship.

God wants us to repent for being passive and for having a helpless victim mentality. God does not want us to be helpless victims, cowering or sleeping in a corner. Sometimes sleep can be a blessing. But sometimes, sleep can be used as an escape. Weakness can sometimes be an excuse. Even sickness can be an excuse. We can allow our old age to be an excuse. The parable of the talent is an example. The one talent person was passive and defensive, while the others, were aggressive risk-takers.

The Church is like a fully equipped army, fully armed - whose soldiers go to sleep, curled up in the corner, sucking its thumb, with its eyes tightly shut, hoping the enemy will die of old age, or slink away on its own. Many are using the concept of an escapist rapture to solve all of their problems, instead of standing on their hind feet, and defeating the enemy in the Name of Jesus!. Too often, we are like dead, limp and lifeless puppets, who are waiting for God's hand to activate us, when we are God's hand, who must decide to obey what it has already been told to do.

A dead, lifeless hand puppet, does not lie, steal, cheat or kill. A dead mouse does not cuss, swear, smoke or chew. But neither does it worship and praise, and neither does it do any good. Too often we have had a passive mentality, that waits for God to do through us what we are to do through Him. Too often, we have been waiting for God to do what He has been waiting for us to do.

Take speaking in tongues: The reason that most people do not speak in tongues, is because the person is waiting for God to do all of the work. The same is true with all of the gifts of the Spirit. It

is especially true of worship and praise, dance and shouting and clapping and the raising of our hands.

God does not want you to be this kind of husband or wife or single person, a dead mouse. He does not want you to be this kind of employee, child or student.

Look at your lifeless hand, lying limp and languid. Mentally or verbally, tell it what to do, while allowing it to lie limp. While we don't want our hand to spastically do what we don't want it to, neither do we want it to fail to exercise its will when it is told to do something positive. In our Christian lives, we have sometimes thought it better to be disobediently but religiously passive, than to be disobediently or fanatically spastic. Both are wrong. Both are disobedient. God wants us to move in Him, AS His representatives, as His hands, by His leading. We must come to see that it is as disobediently spastic for us to be religiously passive, as it is for us to be fanatically spastic.

Let's study on the extent to which this passive kind of mentality has negatively influenced us: We have thought that as long as we are dead mice that we are safe.

A dead mouse doesn't cuss, drink, commit immorality, doesn't steal, murder, or even think bad thoughts. But, neither does it praise, shout, bind, loose, sing, witness, or exercise faith.

GOD'S VICTIM

It is really sad to see people who see themselves as victims, who have a “victim mentality”. Perhaps they have been victims, or still are being victimized, and have never been delivered or set free or healed. But there are many more who see themselves as God's victim. They asked Him to do something for them, that God, in many cases had placed within their grasp. For example, let's say that I am sitting at your table, having potatoes that need salt. So, I ask you for the salt. But it is sitting in front of my nose. This happened to me at the table last night. Only it was pepper. They wouldn't pass it to me because it was within my reach.

The Bible says that “The time came when the saints took the Kingdom by force!”

We will continue without salt on our food, no matter how long we beg God for it. He already purchased it with His Own Son's Blood, and has put it within our grasp. But something about God makes Him reluctant to put into our mouth, our stomachs, or even on our plate, what is easily within our grasp. Jesus said that The Kingdom of God is AT HAND!!!

How can this be true of the Kingdom, of that which IS His will?

In this 5:10 A.M. dream, I was just ready to go on stage of a large church as the evening speaker, to teach about the questions that would be asked before graduation would be allowed in our School of Ministries.

One of the questions was: “Would we be allowed to prophesy things to our own advantage - name it - claim it, blab it - grab it, etc.?” The answer, of course, is, only by the leading of the Holy Spirit, since we must always be under God's Lordship.

Joshua asked me yesterday, a real classic question: “What is right: to exercise bold initiative, or to passively wait for God to do it through us?” I laughed with glee at the brilliance of the question, as both elements, though seemingly contradictory, are necessary. I pointed out that I have both chapters in our book, How To Rule the World, “Kingdom Initiative”, and “Waiting On God”, and that a balance by God's leading, are necessary, and that even zeal and initiative must come by the leading of God, His inspiration, and His grace.

As to the dream, I believe that it was from God, and that it was to be an encouragement to me that the school(s) will exist as a practical and soon reality, and that such questions should be compiled.

All of the questions in the books should, for example, be included, as well as the questions that we ask in our seminars.

When all the world seemed bright, His promises all seemed within my sight.

Before the coming of night.

„Till I no longer knew how to pray.

I felt sorry for myself 'till the cows came home, I despaired of even a crumb.

The Heavenly Father suddenly came to me,

He reached down His long loving strong arms.

He filled me full of the Life of Christ,

He sheltered me from all of life's harms.

But the promises still delayed,

I was tempted to be dismayed. I wanted God's glory to be displayed,

Yahweh told me to not be afraid.

So I stayed in His loving arms,

I remained seated upon His lap.

He kept holding me next to His chest,

When I worried, He told me to rest.

I kept believing the promises were true.

I kept hoping all the long night through.

I didn't know what else to do.

"Papa Yahweh, I kept believing in You."

These signs follow those who will believe!" "Keep believing and you will receive!"

Bright youth turned into middle age.

I said, "Lord, I know that You wouldn't deceive."

God showed me how easy it would be

For Him to give much power and money. But difficult to find, someone who will stay kind,

To have fame and power, yet walk very humbly.

Passage of time is part of the test.

Believing still strong is really the best.

Aggressively press in, yet staying in rest,

Those who live by faith, will be the most blest.

Don't be bitter at God, nor sad

Keep believing, and you will be glad.

God will pour blessings you cannot contain,

ASTROLOGY: Astrology is a stupid encyclopedia of excuses for not measuring up to God's standard for our lives.

TEMPERAMENTS: Though disguised as "christian", the basic premise is flawed. It goes something like this: "Jesus is a balanced combination of all of the positive qualities of the four temperaments, cleric, melancholic, sanguine and spastic, but YOUUUUUUU!!!! - - - " In other words, the cleric is excused for being confrontational and abrasive, the melancholic for being depressed and passive, the sanguine for not being really committed, etc., but Jesus is perfect. God commands us to also "Be perfect, even as our Father in Heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48. When Jesus commanded this, was He kidding???????

No, we are not excused for being less that God expects.

NATIONALITY: "I was born a stubborn , or a hard headed , or a hot tempered , or a short tempered , or a disadvantaged . So, what is YOUR excuse for not measuring up to God's standard.

TIME OF THE MONTH - FULL MOON

TIME OF LIFE - The excuse, "I'm too young:" or, "I'm too old." OLD AGE JUST A BABY.

TERRIBLE TWO's Not an excuse for a wrong attitude. TEEN-AGE rebellion; Not an excuse for a wrong attitude.

MID-LIFE CRISES: "Well I am excused for not measuring up, because - - - "

RELIGIOUS GIFTS: Sometimes a person can say, "I am called to be a prophet, so I can allow myself to be critical, abusive, judgemental, obnoxious, unloving, confrontational & controlling.

INNER HEALING/ABUSE, NEGLECT, BACKGROUND, PAST HURTS, DAMAGE,

INJURIES, DISFUNCTIONAL BACKGROUND: "My mother dropped me on my head." Or, "Diabetics are irritated.", or, "This is just the way I am!"

FEELINGS. I DON‟T FEEEEEEEL LIKE - or "I just don't want to."

IN LOVE: The idea of "falling in love" is a lie and a myth out of Babylon and Hollywood. God commands, "Husband, love your wife! And, be NOT bitter against her."!! God expects us to obey. The basis of true love is a commitment of the will, and is not to be based on fickle feelings or vacillating emotions.

EVERY COMMAND IN THE BIBLE, EACH LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, EVERY PROMISE GOD MAKES, EVERY TRUE PROPHESY GIVEN, PUTS US IN CONTROL, along

with God! If we fail to exercise our rights, responsibilities, callings, privileges, and callings, can we blame God for not being in control?

GOD WOULD BE UNFAIR AND UNRIGHTEOUS TO THE EXTENT THAT HE HOLD US RESPONSIBLE, JUDGES US, OR PUNISHES US FOR THINGS WE CANNOT HELP, OR FOR WHICH WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE.

THE VICTIM (DEAD MOUSE) MENTALITY

WE CAN DECIDE TO BE HAPPY, TO NO LONGER FEAR OR WORRY. WE CAN DECIDE TO KEEP A RIGHT HEART ATTITUDE. WE CAN DECIDE TO HAVE FAITH. WE DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT TO FORGIVE OR HOLD A GRUDGE. WE DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT WE WILL BE HAPPY, JOYFUL OR DEPRESSED.

Forge forward valiantly! Rise up in God‟s power.

Get out of boat boldly. Know that now is the hour.

Go, dance on the water, shouts of praise lift on high.

Face the storm with loud laughter, raise strong victory cry.

Tempted to whine, tempted to worry?

There is not enough time, There‟s a firestorm fury.

God‟s will must be done! The harvest we reap.

Many souls must be won, saints awakened from sleep.

Repent from depression, here‟s fullness of peace!

We must tell every nation, from darkness release.

Right now is the time, there must be no delay.

Don‟t worry or whine. Boldly enter the fray!

Forge forward valiantly. Be encouraged instead.

March onward courageously! Let us always be led.

When things look bleak, “Rejoice ever more!”

God‟s perfect will seek, there‟s glory in store.

Or, will you hang back, turn away from the plow?

It is time to attack, God‟s time is now.

GOD IS AT YOUR MERCY!!!

Picture God, standing at the door of your life, knocking. He wants to come in to your life. But He will not come in if you do not invite Him to come in. God will not come into your life, unless you open the door. Rev.3:20

Picture God, standing all day long with His hands out-stretched, waiting for you to run into His arms. But, what if you do not run to Him? Then, God waits for you. Isa.65:2

Picture Jesus, saying, as He did, "Ohhhhhh, many times I would have gathered you, as a mother chicken gathers her little baby chicks under her wings, but you would not!" Mt.23:37 & Lk.13:34

Picture Jesus, Creator King of Everything, kneeling at Peter's feet, waiting for Peter to allow Jesus to wash his feet, while Peter makes up his mind to give Christ permission.

Jesus invites you to follow Him, then He waits. Jesus invites you to pray to Him, then He waits.

You DECIDE if and when and how much you will pray.

Not God. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will praise.

Not God. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will sing.

Not God.

You DECIDE if and when and how much you will rejoice. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will dance. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will smile. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will laugh. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will shout. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will clap.

You DECIDE if and when and how much you will give. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will serve. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will obey. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will read. You DECIDE if and when and how much you will witness.

Not God.

God does not decide these things for you. You decide. God is at YOUR mercy with regard to every one of these things, and more.

It is like your spouse, if you are married. You are at the mercy of your spouse, as to love.

If your spouse decides to not take the initiative to touch you, kiss you, tell you that you are loved, hold your hand, be with you, make love to you, express affection, appreciation, respect, willingness, fellowship, communication, assistance, conversation, friendship, co-operation, right responses, or a right heart attitude, there is really nothing that you can do. You are totally at the mercy of your spouse with regard to these things. Yes, you can show kindness, give gifts, be responsible, do all that would be desired, but if your friend, your spouse, is stubbornly unwilling to positively respond, you are as helpless as God Himself is helpless, when you are unresponsive to all that He does for you.

You are helpless to force any one to love you, to be your friend, to fellowship with you. We are at each other's mercy. Even God is at our mercy with regard to all of these areas. If you do not love or serve or praise or obey or worship or give to God, then God is at your mercy in all these and many other areas.

LOVE PRESUPPOSES NEED FOR CHOICE

God could have created you to be His slave, His robot, His machine. But, He wanted to create a Universe, a World in which He could have someone who would love Him. But love presupposes the necessity of choice. Love cannot be forced or coerced. If a man puts a knife to a woman's throat, and says, "Give me some love, Baby.", that man might possibly receive many things from that woman, but one thing that man will NOT receive, is love. God cannot, is not able to force any to love Him. As great and as almighty as God is, He cannot force you to love or respect or appreciate or adore Him. You see, as Almighty as God is, as all-powerful as God is, He is not able, does not have the ability, is powerless to force you to love Him. It is impossible to create a machine, a robot that will freely give you love.

All of the sin and suffering in the world is either the direct or the indirect result of people not choosing to love God.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF HER?

I have a friend who is a perfect husband. He is loving, servant-hearted, helpful, patient, strong, provides finances and home, does needed repairs and up-keep to house and car, cooks meals, does dishes, shows love, cares for the children, does errands, speaks words of affection, appreciation and love; and walks humbly with his God. But he is NOT loved or respected or fellowshipped with, or shown ANY affection by his wife. My friend has a good physique, a great sense of humor, is quite intelligent, is friendly and outgoing, is skilled. But, his wife refuses to show him any affection, and, for years, has refused to have sex with him. He is totally at her mercy in this regard. There is nothing that he can do. She simply does not care. She claims to be a good Christian. She will go with him to church and worship. But she refuses to love her husband, refuses to show him respect or kindness or affection or appreciation. He is at her mercy - totally.

What do you recommend that this man, my friend should do? Should he divorce her? She deserves it. Should he yell at her, refuse to help her, stop being with her?

What should God do if you do not show love to Him. Should He give you a disease? Should He take away your heart-beats or breathing? God Himself is helpless to force you to love Him.

God is at your mercy. What are you going to do about it? I heard a prophecy one time. Here it is, word for word:

" "Busy.' 'Busy.' 'Busy.', says the one whom My Soul loves." Here, God was telling us that He longs for our attention, our obedience, our fellowship, our communing with Him, but that we are simply too busy with other important things, to take time to fellowship with Him.

Let's say that a man would like for his wife to be more affectionate, or that a woman would like for her husband to be more affectionate, or more appreciative, more caring, more loving, more respectful. Please pay attention:

We are at each other's mercy!

We know of one spouse who takes the initiative to express affection, 99 + % of the time. The other spouse almost NEVER takes the initiative. That spouse is totally at the mercy of the other. If he or she waited for the other to reach out to hold a hand, or to embrace, hug or touch, it simply would not happen. Ever.

"I MISS MY TIME WITH YOU"

Our son Joshua used to do a dance pantomime to a song called, "I Miss My Time With You." In this song, God is telling us that He misses those precious times that He wants to be with us, because we are toooooo preoccupied, too busy with things more important, more pressing.

GOOD MORNING, LORD!

I love to awaken early in the morning, often, sometimes at 5 or 6 A.M., when the sun is coming up, the birds are singing, it is cool, and the day is fresh. But one problem with all of this is that it can be lonely if the other people are sleeping. We will have hundreds of people stay overnight at our ministry center, here in the northwest Wisconsin wilderness. Often, I wait for many minutes, maybe hours for others to awaken, so that I can share the sights and sounds and fellowship items. A deer comes into the yard and gently grazes. Beautiful birds are flitting around, singing and feeding their young. The sun smiles in dappled beauty across the lawns and flowers, following a spectacular display in dawning. My wife, Karen works on call as an x-ray tech and sometimes has worked all night. Should I awaken the others to enjoy this glory with me? No, they have worked hard, and they need their sleep.

Then, the question came to me: Does God love to fellowship with us soooooo much that He Himself waits excitedly, expectantly for us to awaken, so He can have fellowship with us?! He cares for us sooooo much, that He even concerns Himself about the very number of hairs we have left. The purpose of the Bible sharing this information with us is not to convince us of God's all-knowing, so much as it is to convince us that He lovingly cares and in interested in every, evvvvvvvvvvery intricate detail of your precious life!!!!!!

God is at your mercy.

I know Your love for me is vast.

Are You sitting on the edge of my bed? Until the darkness all has fled?

Looking down into my face?

So our adventures can take place?

Waiting, till my day has begun?

So, together we can have fun.? Till more souls and lives have been won?

Until all that You've planned has been done?

I know that You love me so much.

You're close enough that we can touch.

We can adventure, play and work and such.

On Your lap, each other, we closely cluch.

Be glorious in all we do and say,

MAD AT GOD

I refuse to be discouraged or depressed,

GRUMBLE

I began to mumble,

In this to stumble,

But, then I became humble?

Isn't that good?!

Did you think I should?

Do you believe I could?

Can you believe I would?

I deserve only Hell.

Have earned brimstone's smell. Merited the devil's spell.

But I've better news to tell!

Were you taught to mumble by another? Prodigal Son's Older Brother?

Were you taught to grumble by your mother?

Can we place blame on any other?

Will I gripe or will I praise?

Shake my fist, or hands to raise?

Nights of rage or thanks amaze?

Eyes clenched tight or on glory gaze?

Murmuring is oppressing.

Attitudes can be messing.

Self pity - - obsessing

Demons of resentment - possessing.

It's me I'm addressing.

Count every blessing!

Begin confessing.

Don't be second guessing.

Agree with God, be 'Yes-ing'. Count every blessing.

Count every blessing.

FIRE IN MY GUTS

There is a fire in my belly.

My knees are not jelly. I have great zeal in my heart.

I don't know where to start.

To be pleasing to God is a great desire.

It is raging in me like a raging fire. I want to please God with a deep yearning.

To actualize my potential - is a great burning.

To fulfill my destiny, to do all God's will for me My works and words prepared by Thee

From the foundation of the Earth,

The purpose You designed before my birth.

I want to do all that God has planned

It is a fire in my guts, a flame God has fanned It is a fervent desire my entire life has spanned

With a faith that's very strong, I make my demand

Time flees with screaming speed,

The years stream quickly - I have great need To do alllllllllll God has for me.

To God's will before eternity.

There's a flaming, raging fire in my guts.

The intensity of urgency almost drives me nuts.

How do I express the zeal inside of me.

How to deal with this utmost urgency

Here I am Lord, think Your thoughts through me.

Do all those things in me, all Your plans You see.

I want to do Your will completely.

I want to do it swiftly, sweetly.

Some think this is a phase.

But I would not waste my days. On Thee I want to gaze.

But I do not want to laze.

Others think this is a craze.

I want God's army to raise.

Angles, I want to amaze.

My guts are all ablaze.

I WILL PRAISE YOU!

I will praise You, Papa Yahweh, All my days.

All my ways,

My hands I'll raise.

Oh, let the joy bells ring,

To Thy bosom I will cling.

I will dance and shout and sing.

I have given You everything.

Will I doubt or will I shout?

Will I shout or will I pout?

With God bout, or devils rout.

Go on strike or go all out.

I distain to complain,

I will praise Thee, might and main.

I will think right with my brain, I will sing a pure refrain.

I'll count my blessings, but not all,

Each multitudinous can't recall.

I'll praise God I did not fall,

There's no blessing that is small.

Or do you think that I should gripe.

Go give up and smoke a pipe?

Blow my nose and fear drops wipe.

Or thank my God, His every stripe.

I could choose to be discouraged,

Or I could choose to be encouraged.

To praise or whine, the choice is mine.

Sing praise sublime, praise all the time.
